Our cosmetology and barbering students were honored at a beautiful on Thursday, recognizing their outstanding dedication to their coursework in our Career and Technical Education program.
The event began with a warm welcome from Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter, Principal Jodi Commerford and Cosmetology Club Advisor Donald Hyman. Dr. Anvernita Lawson shared a lovely speech, reminding students of the joy they can bring to their clients with their presence and professionalism.
Following a delicious meal, several of our alumni shared words of encouragement with our graduates and Villager Awards were presented in honor of those who have gone above and beyond to show our students that true strength is not found in standing alone, but in standing together.
After receiving a beautiful pearl necklace, our cosmetology students were presented with their embroidered sash, which they will proudly wear at their upcoming graduation on Sunday, June 29.
