Arbor Hill dismisses early Thursday due to power outage
Arbor Hill Elementary School dismissed at noon Thursday due to a power outage that shut down heat in the building and affected a wider area of the Arbor Hill community.
The power outage occurred shortly after 10 a.m. National Grid crews are working on the problem but were not expected to have the power back on in the area before mid-afternoon or later.
Students had lunch late in the morning and then dismissed after that. Buses are operating on their regular routes for early dismissal, and parents and guardians who pick students up at school should be prepared to do so at noon or make arrangements for their early arrival at home.
